A Soldier for Christ
When 12 year old Mark Kiambi, heard about Run for the Bibleless from a BTL staff member who made a presentation in their school, he took up the challenge in its stride and aggressively started mobilizing just about everyone he could get to listen to him for the Run. Even though he did not fully understand what BTL does and those it targets, he understood that there are young children who have never heard about Jesus because they do not have Bibles and he needed to do something about it.
After a three-day walk in sweltering heat, the wives of the Daasanach translation team were sadly disappointed. Food in Ethiopia is also scarce (Ethiopia is about 11 Kms from the Daasanach of Kenya). They could only buy a few days supplies. With increasing famine a foot, project leader James Korie asked the team to continue their translation work rather than escort their wives to Ethiopia to look for food.
