The Journey To the Centre of Christ’s Heart, is a fast paced mission simulation exercise that takes you from your COMFORT ZONE, making you to experience the realities and importance of the CALL,and the TRAINING and the EXPERIENCE of going to a mission field in about 5 hours! Moving along a series of realistic modules designed to let people experience rather than simply hear a lecture about what is going on in cross cultural ministry. The programme is ideal for church groups, universities, colleges and theological institutions’ and other mission related groups keen interest in doing missions in the current day.

In Matthew 19:14, Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Unfortunately in Kenya, there are some children who are hindered from getting to Christ as they have not heard nor read about Him. One of the reasons is because they have never been to school and the only language they understand is their mother tongue. It is even harder when they are no Bible stories available in the language they speak.

In Kenya, such children are found in communities such as Samburu, Ilchamus, Marakwet, Pokomo, Giryama, Digo, Tharaka and a host of many others. Bible Translation and Literacy together with you, our partner, would like to ensure that every child gets a chance to read the Bible in a language they understand best.

Would you believe it, it costs approximately Kshs. 35 MILLION!! Just to translate the New Testament?

Funds raised through the run go on to support translation teams across Kenya. What a joy it was for me to see the complete SABAOT BIBLE being dedicated in June last year and to know that in a little way, my footprint was embedded in its writing because I ran for the Bibleless. Indeed “How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news”. Isaiah 52:7.  You too can make a difference in the life of a child who has never heard about Jesus.
