To provide Scriptures in small language groups in Kenya and in the East Africa Region. BTL is currently involved in over 25 languages in Kenya and recently in the East Africa Region.
To enhance social and economic development through provision of literacy skills to the small language groups; adequate literacy skills are critical to make concrete decisions, alleviate poverty and social exclusion.
To see the languages first developed into writing systems. This enables the community to develop literature in and for their language. Besides, it is a key element of Bible Translation

BTL-CICC is a distraction free Christian environment for corporate meetings, retreats and total relaxation for families and individuals. BTL-CICC offers: Conferencing Facilities, Accommodation, Wedding packages, Wedding Gardens, Recreational Facilities, Salon, Barber shop, Car wash, video shoot and photo shoot venues.
Tafsiri business ventures are income-generating ventures for BTL. They include the Tafsiri Printing Press, Tafsiri Springs, Tafsiri Bookshop and Translation Services. Their proceeds support Bible Translation and Literacy in the Country and Beyond

In October 2022, one of the churches in Korr distributed solar lanterns for 300 families whose children are enrolled in the church’s sponsorship program. The aim was to provide light to the family and also enable the children to carry on with their studies at night.

I joined BTL a few years ago as one of the Bible translators. Before then, I taught in one of the schools back home, and on Sundays, I would attend my local church with my family. It wasn’t, however, easy for my family to be in a congregation of believers because of our faith.

The Mombasa edition of the Run for the Bibleless 2023 will take place on Saturday, July 8. This Run would have taken place on March 4 alongside the Nairobi, Eldoret, and Nakuru runs; however, due to the high temperatures in Mombasa in the early part of the year, it was scheduled for July, when the temperatures are somewhat cooler.
Bible Translation & Literacy is a Christian organization that was established in 1981 to facilitate Bible translation.
