Surrounded by the waters of Lake Victoria sits an Island, only accessible by canoes, a ferry, speed boats and a water bus. As you alight from either one of these means, you quickly experience the vibrancy of life on this Island, at the shores of the Lake, women are cleaning their utensils, fish mongering, some doing laundry and the majority, especially the men are packaging the fish caught in the night for sale.

The morning of March 4, 2023, turned out to be a pleasantly warm and vibrant day at the Carnivore Grounds in Nairobi. This was the day that the annual fundraising event, Run for the Bibleless, 2023 edition, was being held in Nairobi and concurrently in Nakuru and Eldoret.

BTL invites you to the 16th edition of the Run for the Bibleless 2023 on 4th March 2023. The 10 Km run and 5 Km walk will be held at the Carnivore grounds in Nairobi, Nakuru High School in Nakuru and Potter's House Academy in Eldoret, from 7:15 a.m.

It's 3:10 pm at Loitip Primary School, a day before the Ilchamus New Testament launching ceremony. The school compound is silent in spite of the fact that the students are yet to break for the weekend. It is quite hot and sunny with no shade to take cover from the scorching sun.

Why does it take that long to translate the Scriptures? this is a question that is often asked to BTL staff members whenever they state the long duration of time it takes to complete Scripture translations.

After 16 years of translation, the Ilchamus New Testament will be dedicated and launched on October 8th, 2022, at Loitip Primary School in Marigat, Baringo County.
