What a time and season to witness the completion of the Marakwet full Bible after several years of translation! Some of the key milestones in the translation include; 

The Run for the Bibleless 2026 stands as a powerful testament of faith in action, an indication that collective efforts can bring hope. It reinforces the profound truth that everyone deserves the opportunity to hear and understand God’s Word in their own language.

Friday, 27th February 2026, was a historic moment for the Kipsigis community as community leaders and a team from BTL, led by our Executive Director, Mr. Samuel Kakui, gathered in Bomet town to deliberate on the way forward for the development of the Kipsigis language and the translation of the Bible into Kipsigis.

We once again take this opportunity to invite you to the 2026 edition of Run for the Bibleless on 14th March 2026. This will be the 19th edition in Nairobi, the 5th edition in Nakuru, and the 6th edition in Eldoret.

Join us in welcoming Mr. Samuel Kakui as BTL's Executive Director. Samuel was installed and commissioned on Friday, 30th January 2026, to lead BTL into its future.

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Samuel Muia Kakui as the next Executive Director of Bible Translation and Literacy East Africa (BTL). His tenure will officially begin on 1st January 2026.

Praise God for the completion of the Gichuka New Testament translation. The dedication date has been set for Saturday, 18th October 2025, in Chuka, Tharaka Nithi County, starting at 10:00 a.m.

There was a pause. Then hands began to rise. One by one. Then in twos and threes. In total, 15 precious souls responded to the call of salvation that day.
