One Run, Three Counties – Nairobi, Nakuru, Eldoret

The Run for the Bibleless 2026 stands as a powerful testament of faith in action, an indication that collective efforts can bring hope. It reinforces the profound truth that everyone deserves the opportunity to hear and understand God’s Word in their own language.

On Saturday, March 14, 2026, thousands of participants flooded the streets of Nairobi, Nakuru, and Eldoret in a remarkable show of faith and unity. A move that is more than just a run or walk, but a bold call to action to advocate for Bibleless communities to access Scripture in their own heart languages. The Nairobi edition recorded an overwhelming turnout of over 17,000 participants, while Nakuru and Eldoret saw more than 7,000 and 5,000 participants, respectively. Across all three cities, individuals from diverse backgrounds came together, united by a shared mission: to see lives transformed through accessible and relatable Scripture.

At the Nairobi event, held at Carnivore Grounds, the Chief Guest, Bishop Dr. Geoffrey Njuguna, Senior Pastor, Deliverance Church, Lang’ata, and Chairman, the Kenya Bible Translation Trust, commended the enthusiasm and commitment demonstrated by the participants. He emphasized that their involvement would have a lasting spiritual impact, noting that many lives would be touched when people encounter God’s Word in languages they truly understand.

Beyond the impressive numbers, the event marked significant progress in Bible translation efforts. We are grateful for the dedication of every participant. We look forward to making the Complete Bible accessible to the Marakwet community in their own language. Additionally, New Testament translations for Kabarasi, Tugen, Taveta, and Tachoni are nearing completion, signalling a major milestone in expanding access to Scripture.
